New Workshop Policy
Effective April 1st, registration for workshops can only be confirmed once payment is received. You may pay in advance with our new instant online registration, or at the studio during class hours. The price will increase slightly for those who pay at the door, and your spot won’t be guaranteed if you do so please register in advance!

Workshop: The Tranky Doo! (Jazz 101) – Sunday, June 10th
Our Authentic Vintage Jazz and Solo Charleston workshops focus on individual jazz steps from the Swing Era. From the Suzy Q to Around the World Charleston, the Shorty George to Spank the Baby, take a step back in time to the roots of jazz dance. These jazz steps are very much a part of Lindy Hop culture – free spirited and very fun!
Follower Fast Tracking – Special Workshops – Saturday, June 23rd
We’re setting up a special kind of new workshop where all of the focus will be on the followers. What’s more, you’ll be dancing with high level leaders during the workshop. So not only will you have the instruction of the teacher, you’ll also have experienced dancers as partners who can help you to master the subtleties of Lindy Hop technique.
Workshop: Introduction to SHAG Crash Course – Sunday, June 24th
Collegiate Shag is a swing dance popular with the College set in the 1930’s and has a history similar to other jazz and swing era dances.
Balboa
We love Balboa and you will too! Originated in Southern California during the 1920s and 1930s, Bal is danced primarily in close embrace, and is a great dance for staying cool and looking slick at fast tempos.

Advanced Opportunities
Experienced Lindy Hoppers, these are for you!
Leaders – Opportunity to be PAID to Lindy Hop! $$$
Make some pocket money ($20 for 2 hours) while dancing with lovely new followers and helping to welcome them to the community. Not a bad deal!
Followers – be paid to help out “young” leaders!
And opportunity for Advanced followers to be remunerated for helping to: Encourage and motivate “young” leaders, Nurture their abilities to help them move up in experience level, Teach them to properly care for their followers, Motivate more leaders to keep dancing once they’ve started.
